PreRequirements:
PADI Adventure Diver/Junior Adventure Diver (or equivalent certification).
Minimum age: 15 years old.
Adequate swimming skills and general good health.
Completion of the Deep Adventure Dive during the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course (or equivalent experience) is recommended but not mandatory.
What you will learn:
How to plan and execute dives between 18 to 40 meters (60 to 130 feet).
Techniques for managing your air supply at deeper depths.
Considerations for dealing with nitrogen narcosis and managing increased pressure.
Using a dive computer and depth gauges for monitoring.
Advanced buoyancy control techniques for deep diving.
Identifying and managing potential risks associated with deep dives.
Course content:
Morning Session: Classroom & Skills Prep
Physics and physiology of deep diving.
Equipment review and preparation for deeper depths.
Dive planning, safety procedures, and nitrogen narcosis awareness.
Afternoon Session: Open Water Dive
Shallow water training dive to practice buoyancy and safety drills.
Guided deep dive to a depth of 40 meters (or site-specific maximum).
Real-world application of air management, equipment use, and risk mitigation techniques.
Wrap-Up
Final debrief and personalized feedback from your instructor.
Certification as a PADI Deep Diver, enabling you to confidently explore depths up to 40 meters.
