PreRequirements:
• SDI Advanced Adventure Diver certification or equivalent
• Minimum age: 15 years old
• Completion of a medical questionnaire (physician's approval may be required for certain conditions)
What you will learn:
Our SDI Deep Diver course focuses on:
1. Dive Planning
: Plan and execute dives at greater depths with proper gas management
2. Deep Dive Techniques
: Manage buoyancy, trim, and air consumption in deep water
3. Nitrogen Narcosis Awareness
: Recognize and respond to the effects of nitrogen narcosis
4. Equipment Use
: Properly use dive computers, depth gauges, and other tools for deep dives
5. Safety Protocols
: Master safety stops, emergency ascents, and risk management for deep environments
Course content:
Classroom instruction on the physics and physiology of deep diving
• Dive planning, gas management, and safety considerations
• Review of equipment for deep diving, including dive computers and redundant systems
Dive 1: Skill Development (18-30 meters)
• Dive 2: Real-World Application (up to 40 meters)
• Conduct a dive to a maximum depth of 40 meters (or site-specific limit)
• Apply safety protocols and navigation skills in a deep diving scenario
Course Conclusion
• Post-dive debriefing and instructor feedback
• Certification as an SDI Deep Diver
