TDI Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures

PreRequirements:

Minimum age: 18 years old.
Certified as a TDI Nitrox Diver (or equivalent certification).
At least 25 logged dives, with experience in deep and enriched air diving.
General good health and physical fitness for technical diving.

What you will learn:

The combined TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures course provides a comprehensive foundation in extended range diving with staged decompression:
Advanced Gas Theory: Learn the principles of using nitrox mixes up to 100% oxygen for accelerated decompression.
Decompression Techniques: Plan and execute staged decompression dives with precision and safety.
Gas Switching Skills: Practice using multiple cylinders and switching gases during dives.
Dive Planning: Develop detailed dive plans, including gas management, decompression stops, and contingency procedures.
Safety Protocols: Handle potential emergencies, such as gas failures or lost decompression gas.

Course content:

Knowledge Development:
Classroom sessions on decompression theory, oxygen toxicity, and gas planning.
Introduction to dive planning tools, including software and tables for decompression dives.
Confined Water Practice:
Master buoyancy control and trim with multiple cylinders.
Practice gas switching techniques and emergency drills in a controlled environment.
Open Water Dives:
Dive 1: Practice gas switching and buoyancy control while performing simulated decompression stops.
Dive 2: Execute a planned decompression dive with multiple gas mixtures.
Dive 3: Advanced dive focusing on emergency scenarios, including gas-sharing and out-of-gas drills.
Dive 4: Final dive to demonstrate mastery of advanced nitrox and decompression procedures.
Final Assessment:
Comprehensive evaluation of dive planning, gas switching, and decompression execution.
Certification as a TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures Diver, qualifying you for staged decompression dives up to 45 meters/150 feet.
