TDI Advanced Trimix Diver

This course is designed for experienced divers who want to explore deeper depths and extend their bottom times using helium-based breathing mixtures. PreRequirements:

Minimum age: 18 years old.
Certified as a TDI Trimix Diver (or equivalent certification).
At least 100 logged dives, including experience with staged decompression and deep diving.
General good health and physical fitness for technical diving.

What you will learn:

The TDI Advanced Trimix Diver course provides the skills and knowledge required to safely conduct dives beyond 100 meters/330 feet using advanced helium-based gas mixtures:
Trimix Diving Theory: Understand the effects of helium, nitrogen, and oxygen at extreme depths.
Advanced Gas Management: Plan and execute dives using multiple gas mixes, including travel gases, bottom mixes, and deco gases.
Extended Decompression Planning: Utilize advanced decompression strategies and software tools for deep dives.
Equipment Configuration: Master the use of redundant systems, multiple cylinders, and advanced configurations.
Safety and Problem Solving: Handle emergencies such as gas failures, lost decompression gas, and equipment malfunctions.
Environmental Considerations: Dive responsibly in challenging and extreme underwater environments.

Course content:

Knowledge Development:
Comprehensive classroom sessions on advanced gas dynamics, dive physics, and decompression theory.
Dive planning exercises using Trimix-specific tables and software.
Confined Water Training:
Practice buoyancy control, gas switching, and emergency drills with multiple cylinders.
Simulate advanced technical diving scenarios in a controlled environment.
Open Water Dives:
Dive 1: Conduct a Trimix dive focusing on gas switching and decompression techniques.
Dive 2: Execute a deeper dive with extended bottom time, practicing problem-solving and emergency procedures.
Dive 3: Advanced Trimix dive demonstrating mastery of dive planning, gas management, and decompression strategies.
Final Assessment:
Demonstrate proficiency in deep diving skills, emergency responses, and dive planning.
Certification as a TDI Advanced Trimix Diver, enabling you to safely conduct dives to extreme depths using Trimix.
