PreRequirements:

Minimum age: 18 years old.
Certified as a TDI Nitrox Diver (or equivalent certification).
General good health and physical fitness for diving.
Prior experience with deep diving and buoyancy control is recommended.

What you will learn:

This combined course in TDI Advanced Nitrox and Helitrox provides the skills and knowledge to safely use advanced gas mixtures for extended and deeper dives:
Advanced Gas Theory: Learn the properties and benefits of enriched air (up to 100% oxygen) and helium-based blends.
Decompression Diving Basics: Plan and execute staged decompression dives.
Gas Management: Master the use of multiple gas cylinders and switching between different gas blends.
Helium Use: Understand the benefits and considerations of adding helium to reduce narcosis at depth.
Safety and Emergency Protocols: Handle emergencies, including gas-switch errors and equipment malfunctions.

Course content:

Knowledge Development:
Classroom instruction on gas properties, decompression theory, and oxygen toxicity management.
Dive planning for advanced nitrox and helitrox dives, including maximum operating depths and gas limits.
Practical Skills Training:
Hands-on setup of advanced nitrox and helitrox configurations, including multiple cylinders.
Gas analysis and verification for oxygen and helium content.
Practice gas switching and buoyancy control in controlled environments.
Open Water Dives:
Conduct multiple dives to apply skills, including gas management, decompression stops, and emergency drills.
Use helium-based blends to reduce narcosis and improve performance at depth.
Final Assessment:
Demonstrate mastery of gas planning, switching, and dive execution.
Certification as a TDI Advanced Nitrox and Helitrox diver, qualifying you to use enriched air and helium blends for extended range dives.
