PreRequirements:
Certified Open Water Diver or equivalent certification.
General good health and swimming skills.
What you will learn:
The TDI Nitrox course focuses on the following areas:
Nitrox Basics: Understanding enriched air diving, its benefits, and potential risks.
Dive Planning: Learn how to calculate partial pressures and maximum operating depths (MOD).
Gas Analysis: Hands-on training with oxygen analyzers to check tank blends.
Safety Practices: Identify signs of oxygen toxicity and how to avoid them.
Dive Tables & Computers: Learn to plan and adjust dives using Nitrox tables or dive computers.
By the end of the course, you’ll be confident in using Nitrox to enhance your diving experience.
Course content:
Day 1: Classroom-Based Theory Training
Morning Session:
Introduction to Nitrox and its applications in diving.
Understanding oxygen exposure and calculating MOD.
Safety considerations for diving with Nitrox.
Afternoon Session:
Hands-on use of oxygen analyzers to measure tank blends.
Dive planning exercises with Nitrox dive tables or dive computers.
Knowledge review and open Q&A with your instructor.
Wrap-Up:
Final exam and certification as a TDI Nitrox diver.
