PreRequirements:
Minimum age: 18 years old.
Certified Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent certification).
Prior experience with nitrox and decompression diving is recommended.
General good health and swimming skills.
What you will learn:
The X-CCR Rebreather course equips you with the skills and knowledge to safely operate a closed-circuit rebreather system:
Rebreather Technology: Understand the principles of closed-circuit rebreathers, including oxygen management and CO2 scrubber systems.
Equipment Setup: Learn how to assemble, check, and maintain the X-CCR rebreather system.
Buoyancy Control: Master buoyancy adjustments unique to rebreather diving.
Gas Management: Monitor and manage oxygen levels and diluent gases during dives.
Emergency Procedures: Develop response techniques for system malfunctions, bailout drills, and manual control scenarios.
Silent Diving Techniques: Experience the benefits of reduced bubbles and noise for close encounters with marine life.
Course content:
Knowledge Development:
Classroom sessions covering the fundamentals of rebreather diving and the X-CCR system.
Dive planning and risk assessment for rebreather operations.
Water Training:
Hands-on practice with equipment assembly, pre-dive checks, and buoyancy control in a controlled environment.
Simulated emergency scenarios, including oxygen management and bailout drills.
Familiarization with the X-CCR system and basic operational skills.
Practice advanced buoyancy and silent diving techniques in an open water environment.
Conduct a longer dive with emphasis on gas management and emergency response.
Final Assessment:
Demonstrate mastery of rebreather operation, gas management, and emergency procedures.
Certification as an X-CCR Rebreather Diver, enabling you to explore the underwater world with advanced rebreather technology.
